Meet Our Team

We are currently a team of 4 physiotherapists across 2 clinics and the King’s school. You can lean more about our team members under the ‘About Us‘ tab but here is some more information about how we got to where we are today and the things we like to do outside of work hours.

David Brown – Director and Senior Physiotherapist

How long have you been a physio for?
I graduated in 1992 from Sydney University with a BAppSc Physiotherapy afterQ and A with Dave
completing a Bachelor of Science at UNSW.
Why did you become a physiotherapist?
After suffering a torn ACL in the L knee playing for the Sydney Swans against Carlton in 1988 I underwent 12 months of physiotherapy to return to playing at the professional level. This introduction directly led me to choose it as a career.
Do you have any hobbies?
Passionate about golf, enjoy jet skiing, snow skiing, touch football, fishing and occasional visits to the gym.
What is your favourite area of the body to treat?
Without any doubt the knee – it’s complex but responds well to physiotherapy techniques and exercise programs.
Name one of your goals for the next 2 years.
Get my golf handicap into single figures and ski overseas possibly in Japan or Canada.
Grant Burton – Director and Senior Physiotherapist
grant profile
How long have you been a physiotherapist for?
9 years

Why did you become a physiotherapist?
Originally I fractured my spine and was exposed to the benefits of physio. Following that, I found a passion for the job and enjoyed the idea of helping people back to being pain free.
Do you have any hobbies?
Weightlifting/Bodybuilding, Gaming (Playstation not xbox LOL)What is your favourite area of the body to treat?
Lower back.
Dealing with 2 years of back pain in my younger years, I know how greatly it can effect ones health and mental wellbeing. So helping patients through their own back pain is greatly rewarding.
Name one of your goals for the next 2 years.
Continue to grow the Kellyville clinic.
Kimberley Cochrane – Physiotherapist
How long have you been a physiotherapist for?kim q and a
17 months in total and almost 12 months at PPS

Why did you become a physiotherapist?
I injured my ankle when I was about 13 years old and was treated by my now boss, David Brown. I loved the vibe of the clinic and was shocked how quickly I improved. I chose to study physio to change peoples lives and help them live at the best function possible.
Do you have any hobbies?
Going to the gym, cycling (not the breaking my arm part…oops), walking my dog, anything outdoors!
What is your favourite area of the body to treat?
The Knee! I had a run of frustrating knee issues in my late teens/early twenties. It is a complex structure and many factors can influence pain in this region, but I do love a challenge.
Name one of your goals for the next 2 years.
Publish part 2 of my research study on shoulder injuries in rugby union players and travel to either New Zealand or Canada.
James Coller – Physiotherapist
How long have you been a physio for?James q and a
Coming up to 18 months. Previously worked in a hospital setting with some sports coverage on the side.
Why did you become a physiotherapist?
I am a keen sportsperson and enjoy health and fitness and was originally lured into the idea of working with sporting teams. I am also fascinated by the anatomy of the human body and liked the idea of being a part of rehabilitation.
Do you have any hobbies?
Love to play rugby and touch footy. I also like to surf and snowboard (or at least try) depending on the time of the year!
What is your favourite area of the body to treat?
The ankle! I like the complexity of the lower limb and the way that an issue in the ankle can be caused by structures higher up the chain such as the hip and knee. There are also many ways to rehab the lower limb which can make for some interesting exercises!
Name one of your goals for the next 2 years.
Spend some time working in a developing country and develop some skills such as dry needling!
We hope you have enjoyed getting to know a bit more about us! See you in the clinic soon.
